Ode to Eccentricity

Seven titanium-gilded ellipsoids unfurl in accordance with Kepler’s First Law, their forms capturing the perpetual motion of planets tracing elliptical paths around a stellar heart. A principal ellipsoid cantilevered at 15 degrees bears luminous tracings of light that etch the eternal contest between gravitational pull and centrifugal defiance across its metallic surface.

Three polished spheres suspended between secondary rings recreate the gravitational bonds of satellites and their celestial parents through delicate spacing. When twilight permeates the installation, orbital shadows undulate across the black-gold marble base, where meteorite-veined crystals reveal ghostly elliptic equations.

In the dance of dawn and dusk, the orbiting metal forms interpret celestial mechanics through shifting light: noon renders them a bold geometric manifesto, while dusk transforms their contours into a murmur of celestial whispers. Thus, the cosmic rhythms defined by astrophysics become tactile poetry in the sculpture’s breathing presence.
