Blue Sea-1

Inspired by the timeless verse: “Once you have seen the great ocean, no other waters will suffice.”

“Blue Sea” captures the quiet majesty of the boundless sea and the emotional depth carried in this ancient line of poetry.

The sculpture features a 2cm-thick, round stainless-steel base with a refined matte finish, symbolizing the calm, steadfast horizon. Above it, layered ribbons sweep outward in a fluid, wave-like formation—sometimes converging, sometimes dispersing—echoing the ever-changing rhythms of the ocean.

Each ribbon is finished with a titanium-plated gradient blue, flowing from soft gold to deep sea tones, recreating the shifting colors of water under light. The interplay of curves and reflections brings the piece to life, as if waves rise and recede with a silent breath.
